Businessman Oskar Schindler (Liam Neeson) arrives in Krakow in 1939, ready to make his fortune from World War II, which has just started. This is an excellent movie about the true story how Henry Ford II took out his revenge on the race track by hiring Carroll Shelby to beat Ferarri at the most prestigious international race, the 24 Hours of LeMans, after Enzo Ferarri pulled out of a deal to sell Ferarri to Ford and instead sell his company to Fiat. Brilliantly filmed with no CGI for the racing scenes and great acting by Matt Damon as Carroll Shelby and Christian Bale as race car driver as Ken Miles. Supporting cast as Henry Ford II, Lee Iaccoca and Ken Miles’ wife were all outstanding, while the movie was directed in a way that will entertain anyone who loves a great story. My wife made me bribe her with a dinner before agreeing to go to see this movie with me, but when it was over, she was the first to say, “What a great movie.” Highly recommend you see this in IMAX or Regal RPX theater with better sound. Only after you have seen the movie should you go to You Tube to see “behind the scenes” videos that will show you Hollywood as its best with how they created a real race crash using a most ingenious idea to crash the car right in front of Ken Miles GT. Ford not only won LeMans in 1966, but then won it 4 years in a row before HFII had made his point and moved on. Then, in 2016, Bill Ford, HFII nephew, decided to celebrate the historic 1966 win at LeMans, built a new Ford GT (you can buy one for $500,000 which is street legal) to race again at LeMans for the 50th anniversary of the 1966 win and then Ford beat Ferarri again. That is not shown in the movie, but you can find it on You Tube with Bill Ford getting sprayed with champagne on the victory stand!!! This movie is highly recommended for anyone who loves stories about the underdog, American competitive drive and what the will to win can do to power you to victory against even the best!!! Enjoyable and inspirational movie!!!
Director: Karan Johar Cast: Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol, Rani Mukherjee
Kuch Kuch Hota Hai is a film that drills in the old adage – to be in love you have to first be the best of friends.
A love triangle with little difference, Rahul Khanna (Shah Rukh Khan) and Anjali Sharma (Kajol) are the best of friends who paint the campus red. Tina (Rani Mukherjee) is the Oxford-educated, bhajan-singing daughter of the college principal (Anupam Kher) who returns from London and has Rahul fall promptly in love with her.
So while Rahul and Tina do the necessary song and dance sequences amidst castle ruins in the English countryside, Anjali also falls in love with her best friend. So far so predictable then.
To cut a long story short, Rahul and Tina marry, the latter dies leaving behind as her legacy a bunch of letters (the oft-repeated flashback device) and a daughter to reunite her father with old friend Anjali.
The racy beginning of the film is marked by a sparkling chemistry between Khan, Kajol and Rani. Consummate performers in their own right, Khan with his powerhouse of energy and Kajol with her natural exuberance are quintessential yuppies.
Yet, more than once they tend to go over the top. It is, however, the gorgeous Rani who steals the show. Oozing oomph from every pore, she also proves herself an actress whose time has come.
In his much-hyped debut film, director Karan Johar tries to rekindle the Khan-Kajol magic of the phenomenally successful love lore Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge in which he assisted director Aditya Chopra. And he almost does.
MIDNIGHT SUN is a romantic tearjerker about 17-year-old Katie Price (Bella Thorne), sheltered at home since childhood with a rare genetic condition, a life-threatening sensitivity to sunlight. One night, her dreams come true when she’s noticed and asked out by her longtime crush Charlie (Patrick Schwarzenegger), whom she’s secretly watched from her bedroom window for years. As they embark on nightly summer excursions, Katie’s risk to sunlight grows and she’s presented with the gut-wrenching dilemma of whether she can live a normal life with her newfound soul mate.
PK is as much a philosophy as a film. Starting with the alien’s desperation, PK captures the fears and falsehoods humans weave around faith. When PK decides to pray for his remote, he’s bewildered about whom to and how to pray. PK features brave scenes – money extracted at temples, coconuts offered in confusion at a church, god-men doling out tortuous advice – and strong lines, including a Muslim girl bravely asserting. Capturing faith whipped into hate, PK’s sterling message, directed sensitively, stands out. As does Aamir Khan as the wide-eyed alien bemused by human life, a paan-chomping Chaplin from outer space, liked by rustic Bhairon Singh (Sanjay Dutt). PK’s simplicity contrasts with Jaggu’s complicated life, heartbroken after she thinks her Pakistani boyfriend Sarfaraz (Sushant) ditched her in Belgium. Tapasvi warned Jaggu’s father that her Muslim lover would betray her – does PK prove him wrong?
Anushka presents a sprightly show while Boman Irani stands out as a TV channel head. Some supporting acts and special effects could’ve been sharper though while at points, editor Raju Hirani should’ve been sterner with director Raju Hirani in trimming tighter scenes. Between gods, frauds, love and bombs, there are multiple threads here. Some distract, others impact, like PK hilariously dazed by humans hiding when they make out – except when they announce it with band-baaja on their wedding day.

Dil Chahta Hai is a 2001 Indian coming-of-agedrama film with romance and comedy. The film is set in modern-day urban Mumbai and Sydney, and focuses on a major period of transition in the romantic lives of three college-graduate friends. It performed moderately in the urban areas of the country compared to the rural areas, which was attributed by critics to the city-oriented lifestyle depicted in which all the characters are from rich or upper middle class families. Since its release, the film has become a cult classic. The movie is like a breath of fresh air, and is truly and definitely one of the great film Bollywood has produced. It has terrific acting and an incredibly touching plot that keeps you going throughout the whole film.
Kaabil, a movie which is not well promoted otherwise people would have seen this movie first and then Raees. It starts with a light mood Hritik goes to meet Yami on a blind date then they meet again and again to fall in love. The concept of movie is nice and the acting of all main actors Hritik, Yami and Ronit Roy is up to the mark. Hritik and Yami have given a great performance considering they weren’t wearing glasses to act blind.
.
Now the movie has done a good detailing everything when you see the first dance it doesn’t feel fake. It is well choreographed and in whole song you can see Hritik is guiding Yami to do the dance steps. It was a beautiful choreographed song. The movie has good emotions, story, songs, action scenes, dialogues and excellent detailing in all scenes.
.
Everyone has to appreciate the acting done by Hritik and Yami. The story, the plot and how Hritik takes the revenge keeps you engaging and excited for the next half. Hritik is blind but also talented dubing artist in the movie. The dialogues are spot on in the movie. You’ll be amazed how can a voice mislead and lead to so many miscommunications. I don’t think Kaabil will disappoint you in anyway. Well after a longtime a movie worth watching is here Kaabil after cliché bollywood movies like Befikre and Ok Jaanu.
.
In short head to theatre to watch Kaabil and not Raees. If you want to see a story, intelligent planning, acting, action, detailing of a character and other small things which do matter and leads to things in further movie then don’t miss this movie.
